Our History

The Olson Company of businesses all began with Tim W. Olson Construction in 1984. Tim and Laura Olson continue to operate Olson Construction to this day, offering construction services to local customers and the oilfield. In 2014 Tim, Laura, and Sam Olson purchased Buffalo Hardware to keep a great local business in the community. Buffalo Hardware offers building materials and a full line Hardware Store. The Olsons purchased Buffalo Ranch Supply in 2016 to further meet the needs of local farmers and ranchers. In 2018 came the addition of Olson Propane and since the purchase, the Olsons have expanded their business from Harding County to the Northern Hills. The latest addition to the Olson Company was Olson Fuels in 2019 – a Convenience Store in Buffalo, SD and Bulk Fuel Delivery business serving Harding County and the Northern Hills.

All of this has been possible because of our loyal customer base. The Olsons and their excellent team of managers and employees look forward to building lifelong customer partnerships for many years to come.
